As the year draws to a close we are pleased to announce that the club has recently donated the funds we have raised this year to our club charity, Doorway. This marks the culmination of a few events we have run during 2024 including Fletcher’s Flapjack Audax, our Hardriders Time Trial and our Annual Awards Night held back in February. The total amount raised was £741.10.
This is in addition to the £221 raised by Martin Priestley from the Chippenham & Corsham CC Spin Classes he kindly ran, back in April last year and already transferred to Doorway through Martin’s Just Giving page. We also supported the Doorway Charity ride on 23rd June this year, which resulted in donations directly to Doorway from the ride participants.
Our thanks to everyone who has organised, helped and supported these events, so that we can maintain our club’s reputation for supporting local charities.
This year’s donation we hope has been timely as Doorway’s drop-in centre was unfortunately affected by the recent flooding in Chippenham, following Storm Bert. We hope our funds can be put to good use.
