In Wantage, there are a number of outlets on the Market Place (///ambushed.contexts.lately) to support most tastes for lunch; Costa Coffee, The Panini Shop and Greggs to name a few. We should be able to sit on the steps beneath King Alfred’s statue to enjoy the sunshine.
The route passes through both of these location.

We continue in an easterly direction, essentially following the river Kennet flood plain until turning north at Marsh Benham and heading towards Farnborough and Wantage, where we make a second stop.
