WHEN: September 24 11:00 am
CATEGORY: Charity Ride
EVENT ORGANISER: Stewart Smith
START LOCATION: Cousin Norman’s
RIDE DISTANCE: 2 MILES
ROUTE: RIDE WITH GPS – DSS03 Doorway Supermarket Sweep Charity Ride – Family Ride

Charity Ride in support of the Clubs Charity of the year – Doorway.

This fun event aims to raise funds and also to fill the shelves of Doorway’s FoodBank.  To raise funds, there is a small fee to join which includes the BBQ at the end of the ride.

The rides will start and finish from Cousin Norman’s café on Union Road SN15 1HS (///majors.crew.dabbling).

There are three rides to chose from;

  • The Short ride, starting 10:30, heads to Corsham via Biddestone before going on to Melksham and returning to Chippenham.
  • Then there is the Family ride which starts at 11:00 that uses cycleways as much as possible to get to Morrisons and back, where young children can , take part in the company of their parents or guardians.

In each case, the rides are timed to arrive back at Cousin Norman’s for the included BBQ between 12 & 2pm.

The rides include stops at supermarkets to enable riders to purchase items to stock the Doorway’s FoodBank.

To obtain tickets for any of the rides, please use the below link to Doorway’s site and further information.  Doorway Supermarket Sweep

Tickets are required to take part in the ride.

Please also continue to use the Club’s simple booking form, indicating under “Any other information” which ride you will be doing.

Please note that attendance of this ride requires advanced booking. Please use this simple booking form.

The form is a mandatory for all riders, so the organiser knows who and how many to expect and so we have a record of everyone riding on the day. Your cooperation to complete this in advance of the ride will be much appreciated.
