Meet at the Town bridge for a gentle paced ride around the lanes of Wiltshire, ending back at the Sports and Social Club for some festive brewed recovery drink. What better excuse to avoid the shops on Christmas Eve than a ride with your club mates. All bikes, ages and abilities welcome.

The ride finish will be the Sports and Social Club where a limited selection of chips and bar snacks will be available to soak up the recovery drink.

Look forward to seeing club members out on the day. Costumes and decorated bikes are encouraged. Hipflasks at the ready for the sample-fest of home made sloe-gins, blackcurrant-gin and other home made tipples on the M4 footbridge.

Route will be out through Monkton park to St Mary’s Street then along the back roads to London Road. Down Stanley Lane then chain gang route to Tytherton Lucas, East Tytherton, Kellaways, Sutton Benger, Startley,Great Somerford, towards Dauntsey then to the motorway foot bridge. Route back to Chippenham via Foxham and Kellaways. exact route attached for those interested. A few “grown ups” to lead/look after groups would be useful. We will aim to select similar ability groups.

This ride is organised as a traditional old fashioned club run……!! Once we leave town it’s important that we ride in manageable size groups of no more than 10-12 riders with space between groups for cars to overtake etc.

If you can’t join us for the ride, join us at the Sports and Social Club from lunchtime.
