Meet at the Town bridge for a gentle paced ride around the lanes of Wiltshire, traditionally ending at a local public house for some festive brewed recovery drink. What better excuse to avoid the shops on Christmas Eve than a ride with your club mates. All bikes, ages and abilities welcome. The ride finish will be the Volunteer Inn in Great Somerford https://volunteerinn.co.uk where we will ensure food will be served and they expect the numbers that we will bring. Keep watching the web site for the final destination. Look forward to seeing club members out on the day. Decorated bikes are encouraged. Hipflasks at the ready for the sample-fest of home made sloe-gins, blackcurrant-gin and other spirit sampling on the M4 footbridge. Route will be out through Monkton park to St Mary’s Street then along the back roads to London Road. Down Stanley Lane then chain gang route to Tytherton Lucas, East Tytherton, Foxham, out via Friday Street and down to Dauntsey. Option of short route straight over motorway and looping left to the M4 foot bridge. Alternatively along Sodom Lane, left to Brinkworth, up School Hill, left along to Little Somerford and back (reverse chain gang) to Dauntsey and the footbridge. Straight to the pub in Great Somerford afterwards. From pub, back through Sutton Benger and Sutton Lane to Langley Burrell. If you can’t join us for the ride, join us for the pub from lunchtime.
