MTB or gravel bikes with tyres suitable for gravel riding are recommended for this ride. This is a shorter, easier version of the main OR001 route and a good introduction to gravel riding.
It follows the same route as the main OR001, taking the cyclepath as far as Avebury for a coffee stop at the Circle Cafe, but then retraces to Yatesbury to pick up some gravel by-way towards Winterbourne Bassett. We then follow tarmac most of the way home, with a short section of bridleway and a slight diversion thrown in to keep it interesting.
