Castle Combe Circuit
Chippenham & District Wheelers have use of the Castle Combe Race Circuit for training sessions every Tuesday night from April until September. See the dedicated page on Castle Combe for more information including the led group riding sessions that are organised.
Turbo training sessions
Since 2014, the club has arranged use of the spin studio at MOD Corsham on Westwells Road for a Tuesday night training sessions. Mark Doodson works there and is a qualified spin instructor. Mark runs the sessions with great success.
As it is a MOD facility, we will need to register attendance in advance. If you are not on the list, you will not get in. You will need to bring ID (drivers licence, passport, etc). If you have no ID, you will not get in. We will also need to meet at a small car park at the main entrance for a 19:15 escort to the spin studio. If you are late, you will not get in.
The studio is equiped with Keiser M3 spin bikes which are highly adjustable. The bikes are equipped with dual type shimano pedals (MTB SPD and toe straps). There is air conditioning, a good sound system and large fan, chilled drinking water is available and there are male/female changing rooms with showers that we can use.
There are 14 bikes available. Preference will be given to regular session attendees. Members will still only need to pay £2.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Mark Doodson via email email@example.com or via mobile 07541 203114. A list is circulated the week before and a standby list operates in case of spaces becoming available. This is a very popular activity.
Structured group riding aka Chain Gang
The Chaingang meet every Saturday morning throughout the year at 9:30am for a fast paced group training ride about 40 miles. All members welcome! See Chain ganging for more information.
