NEW YEAR’S DAY – KILO AND HALF KILO RACE

NEW YEAR’S DAY – KILO AND HALF KILO RACE

20 Dec 2018 By rachael.still

This Year’s Kilo on Tuesday 1st January at Castle Combe Race Circuit, will be YOUR LAST CHANCE to compete on New Year’s Day for this prestigious trophy.  From 2019, the event will be run in the Summer, with a date yet to be decided, so, this is the final time you can use the event to clear your hangover, or keep your previous night’s celebrations in check knowing you have a race the following morning. Yes, we all know Simon Kay has won it 6 or 7 years in a row, but someone will displace him one day, and that person could be you – obviously you’ll just have to be there to find out!

As always, we can’t promise you good weather – traditionally it’s wet, wet and windy, or just very, very cold so please bring lots of layers – but we can promise you fun. After all, a Kilometre can’t hurt that much, can it? There’s also the 500m for the children which is a great opportunity for them to take part too.

The event starts at 11.00am, please arrive from 10.30am to register.  Please note, we can only use the rear entrance as the main gates will be locked.
