Fletcher’s Flapjack 100km Audax *ENTRIES CLOSED*

Fletcher’s Flapjack 100km Audax *ENTRIES CLOSED*

6 Mar 2022 By Sheni Jiwa

WHEN: 06/03/2022 9:00 am
CATEGORY: Open Audax
EVENT ORGANISER: Sheni Jiwa
START LOCATION: Bath Road Car Park
RIDE DISTANCE: 64 MILES

*** Update 24th Feb – the event is now FULL. Sorry but we cannot accept any further entries and we can’t accept any entries on the day ***

Our club’s traditional Open Audax which typically attracts over 100 riders from across the country. The event is promoted through the Audax UK website.

We will be providing 3 village hall controls in Brinkworth, Kemble and Sherston where our club will provide tea/coffee, cake, flapjack (of course!) and beans on toast to all the 100+ riders. Everyone finishes up at Chippenham Sports Club where we’ll provide post-ride refreshments in the main function room (the bar will be open too).

We offer a limited number of FREE ENTRY places to any Chippenham Wheeler club member who can help/volunteer in any way possible whilst also riding the event! We need around 25 helpers on the day itself. You could also bake a cake or some flapjacks and then enjoy a free ride on the day!

No prior experience is needed to help and you can be assured it will be fun! We ask the faster rider-helpers to set-off earlier than the main bunch and help out at either Brinkworth village hall or ride on further to help at Kemble village hall, or even both if you can. Steadier riders are asked to start with the main bunch at 9.00am, enjoy all the controls with the other riders and then help us tidy up in Sherston or at the Sports Club finish. In this way, as a Wheelers club member, you can enjoy riding and helping and still have your ride validated for the club series and with Audax UK.

If you are a Chippenham Wheelers club member and want to ride and help then please register using this booking form [free entry now closed] where you can indicate your preferences. As the event is run under AUK regulations the entry process is a little different, but it’s quite simple.

If you just want to ride without helping or you are not a Chippenham Wheelers club member then please enter and pay through the Audax UK website via this link (£8.50/£11.50 depending on whether or not you’re an AUK/CTC member).

Route details will be e-mailed to all registered entrants including our helpers approx 1-2 weeks before the event.

For any queries about this event, or if you are able to help without riding, then please email audax@chippenhamwheelers.org
