~90 mile ride at a good pace. No stops so bring food and drink and spare inner tubes – this ride is usually a nightmare for punctures. Mudguards recommended (by other riders). This is a hard ride, only turn up if you are prepared for it. It is dark at the start so lights required. Typically back for a late lunch. Booking essential for all riders – see link to booking form further below. Imber is a village in the middle of Salisbury Plain, closed to the public except for certain public holidays. It is used by the military for target practice. In the last 2 years we had to ride round Imber as it was not open to the public. Current information indicates this also be the case in 2020 as the village is showing as open 29 Dec 2020 – 3 Jan 2021, so we are going to ride around it again. Please note that attendance of this ride requires advanced booking for COVID track and trace purposes. Please use this simple booking form using the name you are registered with in Rider HQ. Please complete the form for each member wishing to attend. The form is a mandatory for all riders, so we can make our rides as COVID safe as possible for all of us. Your cooperation to complete this in advance of the ride will help the start go smoothly and will be much appreciated. A Google Form has been used to capture the necessary information rather than using any other app or site that requires registration. Any issues with the above process can be directed to leisureride@chippenhamwheelers.org.
