With just a month to go, it’s the one you’ve all been waiting for, our annual festive ride to the pub!
Meeting by the Town Bridge in Chippenham, we will aim to leave at around 10.00am, heading out of the town centre via the park. Once we’re out on the quieter lanes, we should be able to form small groups and ride together at a nice steady pace. As is customary, we shall be stopping on top of the motorway footbridge for a quick swig from our trusty hip flasks whilst waving at the passing cars, then it’s on to our final destination for some lunch and festive cheer.
This year, the Club has been invited to The Volunteer Inn at Great Somerford, where we can eat, drink and be merry in the warm and comfortable surroundings they have on offer. For those of you who are unable to join us for the ride, why not join us at the pub? There’s plenty of parking available and food will be served from midday until 2.30pm.
As is tradition, tinsel-clad bikes and Christmassy-themed fancy dress is an absolute must, we’d love to see as many Club members out as we possibly can this year to make it the best Christmas Eve ride turnout ever! Route still to be confirmed.
Festive Regards
