Club Digital Trophy Case

Chippenham and District Wheelers have a wide range of trophies which can be won annually by club members.  The trophies and the associated rules are all listed in the handbook and are shown on the website.  This Digital Trophy Board is intended to showcase the clubs trophies and show the previous holders of those trophies.  The trophies range from silver cups to high quality home made trophies, presented by club members or their families.  The club tries to ensure that trophies are competed for, although sadly some trophies are sometimes not presented as there are no qualifying riders or events.  The majority of the trophies are for competing in time trials or road races but there are some other trophies.

The tabs seen below may not familiar to many but an explanation is in the club rules and also in each tab.  To help here is a brief description of each trophy.
2. Best All Rounder Trophy – best cumulative times for 25, 50 and 100 mile time trials.
3. Veteran’s B.A.R Cup – best cumulative age adjusted times for a veteran for 25, 50 and 100 mile time trials.
4. The Jack Nunn 12 Hour Cup – furthest distance in any 12 hour event.
5. 12 Hour Trophy – furthest distance in a designated 12 hour event.
6. Jack Nunn Handicap Evening 10 Series – fastest aggregate time over six 10 mile time trials on club evening ten mile time trials based on handicap points system.
7. Jackman Cup – 100 mile time trial.
8. Time Trial Championship – based on 10, 25, 50 and hilly time trials points system.
9. Jack Nunn Senior Trophy – fastest senior rider over 6 evening 10 mile time trials.
10. Jack Nunn Veteran Trophy – fastest veteran rider on age adjusted time over 6 evening 10 mile time trials.
11. Jack Nunn Ladies Trophy – fastest women rider over 6 evening 10 mile time trials.
12. Jack Nunn Junior Trophy – fastest junior rider over 6 evening 10 mile time trials.
13. The Eric Fletcher Audax Shield – awarded to the Audax rider with the greatest “kilometerage” in a season.
14. Ted Barlow Trophy – awarded to rider with greatest number of points in the WTTA Hardrider Time Trial Series.
15. The Nixon Cup – nominated 50 mile time trial.
16. Mike Edwards Trophy – nominated 50 mile handicap time trial.
17. The Hinder Cup – nominated 25 mile time trial.
18. The Sheila Edwards Trophy – nominated 10 mile club evening time trial.
19. Gary Woodward Shield – nominated open 25 mile time trial.
20. Gerald Cup – ladies trophy for nominated 25 mile time trial.
21. 2 Up Shield – nominated 2 up 10 mile time trial based on handicap with random draw for riders.
22. Roberts Tankard – nominated hill club award.
23. Most Improved – for time trialist who improves most in a season compared to handicap.
24. Harrier Trophy – awarded for effort.
25. Sheila Wiseman Cup – fastest women in a designated 10 mile time trial, usually the club open 10 mile event.
26. Ladies Cup – BAR trophy for women based on 2 x 10 and 2 x 25 mile time trials.
27. Mrs Day Cup – youth evening 5 mile time trial points trophy.
28. The Kilo – one kilometre sprint award.
29. Jack Nunn Tandem
30. Senior Road Race Champion
31. Junior Track Cup
32. Harry Hunt Memorial – awarded to fastest rider in a nominated 25 mile time trial.
33. Ted Sawyer Trophy – Junior road race.
