UH80/UCH80 – Bowden Hill Climb

UH80 is the Open Hill Climb and UHC80 is the club hill climb of Bowden Hill at Lacock.  (The difference is down to the levels of assessed risk on a Saturday morning or a Wednesday evening.)  The climb passes the iconic church of St Anne’s also known as “The Church in the Clouds”.  For the last few years the club as donated all profits from the hill climb to the church rebuilding charity.  Parking for the event is the public car park next to the Red Lion pub in Lacock. Start at entrance to Cottage (First cottage after the Chapel) 50m after bridge *. Proceed along Bewley Crescent and then across Bewley common, climbing Bowden Hill past the Rising Sun Public House * to cross Bowden Hill Common, turning the left hand corner at Bowden Hill House * and finishing at the top of the hill adjacent to the Spye Park * gates.
