This is a calling notice for our club AGM on the night of Wednesday 27th November at the Bowls Pavilion, Chippenham Sports and Social Club. Agenda has been published on https://www.chippenhamwheelers.org/events/club-agm-4/ along with 7 motions proposed by the committee.
Motions 1 to 6 cover work that has taken place this year to rationalise the club handbook and bring the rules in line with current club operations.
Motion 2 is concerned with the committee construction. This proposal reduces the number of named committee roles and increases the number of ordinary member roles. The aspiration is to encourage involvement in committee activity without taking on the responsibility for a aspect of club operation.
Finally, motion 7 is to adopt a new trophy (and associated rules) that has been donated by our esteemed Racing Secretary. These rules have been designed to encourage club members to race a variety of time trial distances.
The AGM is an important pillar in our club governance and without a quorate meeting, our rules cannot be changed. Please attend where possible, voice your opinions and enable the club to adapt and grow.
