New Year’s Day – Kilo and Half Kilo Race

New Year’s Day – Kilo and Half Kilo Race

20 Oct 2016 By Leave a Comment

The annual hangover cure is being run on Friday 1st January at Castle Combe Race Course.  The "Kilo" is that chance to pit yourself against fellow sufferers for the glory of 1,000 metres (a Kilometre) on the smooth and almost flat surface of the Castle Combe race track surface.  Your effort should be under 2 minutes (even Paul Freegard on "Gazelle" achieved this) and you can try to beat our reigning champion – Simon Kay who completed the distance last year in 1:12:59.

There is also a 500m event for the junior members of the club.

The event starts at 1100 hrs, so all are asked to be at Castle Combe from 1030 hrs to register.  Please use the rear entrance, the main gates will be locked.

After the event the Clubhouse will be open for lunch (bring your own contributions please) and for you to share your plans for 2016.
