Imber 2019

Imber 2019

26 Dec 2019 By Richard Buckley

WHEN: 26/12/2019 8:00 am
CATEGORY: Training ride
EVENT ORGANISER: Andy Cook
START LOCATION: Chippenham cemetery gates

~100 mile ride at a good pace.

No stops so bring food and drink and spare inner tubes – this ride is usually a nightmare for punctures. Mudguards recommended (by other riders). This is a hard ride, only turn up if you are prepared for it. It is dark at the start so lights required. Typically back for a late lunch.

Imber is a village in the middle of Salisbury Plain, closed the public except for certain public holidays it is used by the military for target practice.

In 2018, we had to ride round Imber as it was not open to the public. Current information indicates this also be the case in 2019 as the Imber Church is showing as open 27 Dec 2019 – 1 Jan 2020.
